      Values Elicitation

A personal brand should be based on core values, so that is our starting point.

Once the activity is complete, you will be able to discuss your results with your teacher and people who know you best, who will help you draw out more information and follow a GROW goal setting structure, enabling you to use the results of this activity to set some career development goals.

Read the list of values (not an exhaustive list) and consider what is most important to you personally, not what is important to your parents or friends, although they may be your influencers.

You will be timed, to help you draw upon your instincts, but it is not meant to feel like a test!

Tip: The values you select can be used beyond the creation of your personal brand; they can be helpful in job applications and informing future choices.

How Do You Stand Out From The Competition?

You have completed activities on the Personal Branding programme which help you to identify your values and USP, which are elements of your personal brand. You have considered what evidence you have that you are living your values.

Now you can use this work to help you stand out from the competition and present a value proposition to an employer or HE institution. You will be able to use the value proposition for job or course applications and in interviews.

    • This self-assessment tool will help you to identify your current approach to verbal communication, enable you to navigate through the next few modules on communication, and provide your teacher with useful information to support a coaching conversation and goal setting.

Self-assessment is an important human skill. People who are open to working on themselves gain intrapersonal skill which makes them better leaders, communicators and learners, who are open to growth, both in and beyond the workplace.
