
This programme supports young career starters who are preparing to transition into their post-18 education or training place. It is designed to be facilitated by a teacher, teaching assistant, coach or trainer, either virtually or in person.
Modules included are:
- Understanding and beginning the 7 stages of career development
- Developing a growth mindset
- Understanding what employers are looking for and how to add value
- Considering influence and motivation
- Developing personal leadership
- Learning how to make effective decisions and set achievable goals
You will be learning about how to get yourself ready to move into a post-18 setting, whether learning or training and employment, including improving your self-knowledge and decision making skills. You will learn more about the world of work and what employers need you to bring to the workplace.
The learning activities that you complete help you achieve a skills competency. The skills competencies are taken from the Human Skills Matrix, which is the learning framework for all of the programmes on The Quad.
Some of the learning activities can be completed with your facilitator. Some of the learning activities can be completed independently on The Quad. Your facilitator will be able to support you.
You will earn a badge when you complete each module and a skills certificate when you complete the programme.
