Welcome Message
Completion requirements
This Quad Learning Demo is a collection of elements that is designed to provide you with a sense of how the programmes can be engaged with. The Programme Orientation Demo and Self-reflection Starter elements at the top are SCORM files, which we use when there are substantial knowledge elements, key concepts such as safeguarding, and when learners access programmes independently of a learning institution; we replace a teacher with an avatar and guide the learners with short video and audio content.
Other elements included in the Demo are activities from a range of different programmes, so they do not form a learning journey within the Demo. Programmes on The Quad are arranged in modules, which typically take 45-70 minutes each, depending on the delivery style and the learning approach taken by learners. For example, learners who have the opportunity to discuss their thoughts and ideas will take longer to complete a module than learners who are working in isolation. Modules include self-assessment and goal-setting elements.
The Demo includes an example of the content for teachers that appears before each task so that the key learning is highlighted and teachers have additional notes and links to support delivery. There are a few activities which require learners to submit their output for the teacher to view. These are Documentation tasks and do not require grading. The majority of learner output is designed for learners to track their own progress, and they are able to download elements such as goal-setting records.
All programmes are underpinned by Vitruvia's Human Skills Matrix, which means that activities completed by learners are linked to competencies. At the end of each module, if activities have been completed, learners will earn a badge, and at the end of the programme, they will be able to download a certificate.
The Quad is hosted by Moodle and, as such, will generate learner data for your institution so that you can track your learners' progress. We can share granular detail if you require it, such as individual login data, date and time-stamped.
